Siddharth Shah is a Senior Partner at Khaitan & Co and leads the firm’s Funds practice. He advises domestic and international clients on fund formation, the establishment of investment platforms, private equity investment structuring, and a range of corporate transactional matters, including joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions in both public and private markets.

He has extensive experience acting as fund counsel to a wide spectrum of domestic and offshore funds across asset classes, including angel, venture capital, private equity, real estate, credit, distressed assets, public markets, hedge funds, as well as REITs and InvITs. He regularly advises clients on the legal, regulatory and tax aspects of structuring and establishing investment funds and platforms.

Siddharth actively engages with industry bodies such as CII, IMC and APREA, as well as regulators including SEBI and RBI, and has contributed to policy discussions, including the formulation of the SEBI framework for Alternative Investment Funds in International Financial Services Centres such as GIFT City.
