Clarisa is a Senior Advisor to Allied Climate Partners, a philanthropic organisation looking to unlock climate finance bottlenecks by providing junior capital to GPs focused in climate investing across Emerging Markets.
She recently founded ImpactAdvise to provide strategic advisory services to emerging markets and impact focused LPs and GPs. ImpactAdvise is part of 3x Impact, an initiative to support the ecosystem founded by three former senior PE executives from leading European DFIs. She is an independent IC member, sits on the board of a GP and is an Advisory Board member of DEG Impact.
Prior to this, Clarisa was at British International Investment (BII) for 16 years, where she led the Private Equity Funds team, managing a portfolio of ~US$2.5bn fund investments across Africa, Asia and the Caribbean and a member of BII’s Funds IC covering PE, VC, infra and private credit. She was co-chair of the AVCA LP Advisory Council and GPCA’s DFI Council. Earlier on in her career, Clarisa spent time in Central America at Grupo Financiero Uno in operational and investment roles. She had also made direct investments in Latin America for CDC from London and Costa Rica.
Clarisa graduated from Marquette University with a BA (Hons) in Mathematics and Economics and has an MBA from INCAE Business School, Nicaragua.
