Tejas is a Partner in EY’s Financial Services Tax and Regulatory practice, leading the Wealth and Asset Management Practice
and is based in Mumbai, India.
With over two decades of experience since joining EY in 2002, Tejas has been a trusted advisor to numerous foreign and
domestic banks, fund houses, and financial institutions. His expertise spans structuring inbound investments, transaction tax
advisory, tax compliance, transfer pricing, tax litigation. He has been an advisor to a number of foreign and domestic funds
across various strategies in setting up their India fund structures. Tejas has advised a number of private equity funds in
transactions across various sectors on both the buy and sell side.
Tejas has played a pivotal role in assisting banking and asset management clients with setting up their structures in the GIFT
City.
Notably, he has worked closely with the Government of India and SEBI on tax advocacy efforts, shaping policies for foreign
and domestic funds. Tejas is a co-chair of PE/ VC committee of The Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
