Vikas Choudhury is a seasoned business leader and long term investor with expertise in creating value in the digital economy. He has operated in businesses now valued over $100Bn and invested in companies now valued over $10Bn.

Founder & Managing Partner of Playbook Partners, an Operator-Driven Growth Capital Firm for Digital India. His leadership at Playbook reflects his deep commitment to the digital transformation of India and its aspirational growth.

He has held leadership roles at multiple multinational public companies, including being the President at Reliance Jio (BSE:RIL), India’s largest conglomerate’s digital platform business including ecommerce, fintech, media and telecom (0 to $100 Bn market cap in 5 years). Previously, he was the Managing Director & CEO of Aimia Inc. (TSX:AIM), the world’s largest data-driven marketing company. Built a JV with the Tata group and sold the ecommerce business to Reliance Retail.

Vikas has backed multiple companies in their journey to becoming unicorns, from India’s first ever (inMobi in 2011) to its most recent (Rapido in 2024). With over two decades of investing experience, his portfolio includes 10 unicorns, IPOs and exits such as InMobi, Myntra, Fractal, PolicyBazaar, Nazara, Rapido and NSE among others.

An alumni of Harvard Business School and an MBA, University of Pittsburgh and University of Bombay. He also serves as the Co-President, Harvard Alumni Club of Mumbai. Vikas is an art and music aficionado as well as an award-winning photographer.
